00:00A grandfather was killed after he was trapped in their burnt house in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.

00:20The grandfather's family, Erning and Azerlyn, were devastated when their bodies were taken out of their burnt house in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City last night.

00:31Until their last moments, the grandfather tried to light a fire in their house.

00:38The grandfather tried to light a fire in our house. He poured water on it.

00:43But the fire didn't go out.

00:48It hurts.

00:53Suddenly, they did this.

01:09According to the Bureau of Fire Protection,

01:12about 10 houses were engulfed by the fire that broke out at 5 p.m. yesterday.

01:1715 families were affected.

01:20According to the people of Barangay Gulod, the fire spread quickly in the neighboring houses.

01:25It's all raw materials, like plywood.

01:30Some of the families affected were evacuated to a nearby school.

01:35Actually, there are only three families there. The others went to their relatives.

01:40One of the families affected, Nanay Enriquita,

01:43was the first to think of saving her son PWD or person with disability and her husband, a senior citizen.

01:50Their house was engulfed by the fire and they have no one to help them.

01:55I hope they can help us.

01:57It's hard for us to live here. We don't have a place to live.
