00:19Addy, let's talk about the inaugural tournament of Sharks Billiard Association.

00:25It started in September and you'll have a championship week this December.

00:30What do you expect for this championship week this coming December?

00:33First off, let me correct you a bit.

00:37We're not a tournament.

00:39Usually, when it comes to billiards, people are used to calling it a tournament.

00:44But for us, this is a billiard league.

00:48So it's similar to PBA.

00:50There's a season and then there's a championship.

00:53During the regular season before the finals, what was the most memorable experience here at SBA?

01:01What were the highlights of this inaugural league for you?

01:04There were a lot of highlights in our league.

01:07For me, I didn't expect the players and team owners to be very invested in the game

01:14because it's the first time we'll have a billiard league.

01:17I was very happy and I saw the engagement of the fans.

01:23It's the first time I've seen this kind of engagement in the audience of billiards

01:28because it's usually very quiet.

01:30I think that's the highlight of the whole season for me.

01:38From basketball to billiards, what did you see in billiards?

01:43Why did you focus on sharks instead of yourself?

01:47Because billiards is a sport that most Filipinos play.

01:54It's not something that can be shown properly.

01:58If you notice on social media, it's always messy and the presentation is not professional.

02:05So when I saw the problem that we need to fix,

02:13I thought of creating my own billiard league using my influence.

02:20So now, we established a motivated billiard league

02:25where we bring together our friends, influencers, and celebrities

02:32who have a big fan base

02:34to help us reach those who are not reached by the professional league.

02:41I want to praise the sharks

02:45because it's the first time in the whole Philippines

02:51that they have the courage to make a professional, mainstream presentation of billiards.

02:59It's been a long time, Efren.

03:01It's been a few days.

03:02The whole billiard community here is very thankful to the sharks

03:08because we have each other.

03:10It's just that there are a lot of people who play billiards

03:14but no one has professionalized the sport and brought it to the mainstream.

03:28So when the sharks joined, I thought,

07:25how can I become a professional athlete?

07:28So I hoped to have a career path one day.
