01:24Yun's office in a statement said South Korea and Malaysia signed an agreement
01:29to cooperate in supplying critical minerals from Malaysia's reserves
01:33and to boost cooperation in the defence industry.
01:36It added that Yun and Anwar also shared their commitment at a summit
01:40to conclude a free trade agreement by next year,
01:43which would include additional areas such as services, investment and green energy.
01:49The countries also agreed to establish an institutional foundation to cooperate on climate change,
01:55including for a previously signed memorandum of understanding on a carbon capture and storage project,
02:01which is scheduled to launch in 2029.
02:04Yun and Anwar also shared concern over the growing military cooperation between North Korea and Russia
02:10and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as well as Israeli violence in Lebanon.
