00:10For the past 26 years, he was living in complete isolation deep in the Amazon rainforest. The rest
00:16of his tribe was wiped out in various attacks since the 1970s, mostly at the hands of cattle
00:21ranchers and land grabbers. Since then, he has resisted all attempts to be contacted,
00:26although authorities continued to monitor him from afar. He is presumed to have died
00:30of natural causes, given that his body was found in a hammock with no signs of violence.
00:34The man of the hole was from one of over 100 uncontacted native groups around the world,
00:39with most residing in the Amazon rainforest. The most isolated of them all is the Sentinelese,
00:44a tribe that lives on the North Sentinel Island near India and attacks anyone who attempts contact.
