00:00HBO Max announced its new name and a slate of upcoming projects. The streaming service which
00:04will merge content from HBO and Discovery Plus will be known as Max. Launching in the U.S. on
00:09May 23rd, Max will be rolling out more than 40 new titles and TV show seasons every month. Among
00:14those announced was a decade-long Harry Potter TV series that will cover a different book in
00:18the franchise with each season and feature an entirely new cast from the films. J.K. Rowling
00:23will be an executive producer on the series, but when asked about how her views will affect
00:27the ability to find talent for the series, executives declined to comment. Another highly
00:31anticipated project is a Game of Thrones prequel series currently titled A Knight of the Seven
00:35Kingdoms The Hedge Knight. Other programming and development includes a Big Bang Theory spinoff
00:40and a TV series based on The Conjuring. Max will offer three different pricing plans ranging from
00:44$999 to $19.99 a month. Current HBO Max customers will not see a price change when the new service
00:50releases.
