00:00An actor from Netflix's Beef is under fire for resurfaced comments he said on a podcast about
00:05a graphic story of sexual assault. Between 2013 and 2014, David Cho hosted a podcast during which
00:11he told a story about going to a massage parlor and forcing himself on a masseuse. In 2014,
00:16Cho apologized for the episode in a now deleted blog post and again via Instagram in 2017. In it,
00:22he claims to have told the story for shock value and denied committing any such actions. Following
00:27the release of Beef earlier this month, writer Ora Bogato shared the clip on Twitter given his
00:32involvement in the now hit series. Cho's artwork also appears in the title cards in multiple
00:36episodes of the show. Shortly after, Bogato and others who posted the video received copyright
00:41complaints from what appears to be filed by Cho himself. Bogato also called upon stars and
00:46executive producers Ali Wong and Steven Yeun to explain their decision to give Cho this platform,
00:50but neither have publicly commented.
