00:22In the past, some lawmakers have been critical of President Biden's plan to lift the restriction,
00:28saying the country does not have the adequate legal, court, and housing resources to handle
00:32the surge. The Biden administration, however, has enacted stricter rules for migrants wanting
00:37to enter the country, such as requiring asylum seekers traveling through Latin America and other
00:43countries on their way to the U.S. to apply for asylum in another country before attempting to
00:48enter the U.S.
