00:00Listen to this set of information.
00:04So, of course, the bogey is a 72nd to drop out of a potential playoff.
00:08That's, you know, tough for him.
00:09But he had eight starts this season,
00:12you know, seven of them PGA Tour events and then the eighth being the U.S.
00:15Open to runner ups, three top fives, four top tens.
00:20He's now ranked and this is a tweet via Brintley Romey,
00:2393rd in the O.W.G.R. as an amateur.
00:26We did a little back of the napkin math here,
00:29and this is this sort of rough math because we're doing FedEx Cup point
00:33splits for, you know, ties where he did not count because he's not a member.
00:37But we think he roughly would have finished 95th in the FedEx Cup
00:41with six hundred and twenty two points.
00:42So keep in mind that the guy in front of him on that list,
00:46Chandler Phillips made twenty seven starts.
00:48The guy behind him, Mattie Schmidt, made twenty eight starts.
00:50He did this with eight starts.
00:52Luke currently has 17 of the 20 points
00:55he needs via the PGA Tour.
00:57You accelerated program to earn his tour card.
01:00And I think it's really important here to note that 12 of those points
01:03were earned via performance and tour events or major championships.
01:07And the remaining five for his rank being as high as first
01:11in the W.A.G.R. is also a performance based calculation.
01:15So he didn't earn any of those 17 points on winning awards
01:18that are more that are voted on that are more subjective.
01:20This is all stuff he did earning it on the course.
01:22And finally, under the under the policy board approved criteria
01:27that we're going to talk about later in the show, going into place in 2026,
01:30he would have earned his card already because he would have gotten
01:32three more bonus points for top fives at the John Deere at Wyndham at the RSM.
01:38I mean, I just I'll just give you the floor just to talk generally about
01:42what a phenomenal performance we saw this year in eight starts from Luke Clinton.
01:47It's unbelievable.
01:48Yes, he he's broken the system.
01:50And we've noted this rule is it's the Luke Clinton rule, right?
01:54It's the Luke Clinton rule.
01:55And he's he's totally broken the system.
01:57And what what just makes me so angry about it and just frustrated for him,
02:03obviously, he's not winning any cash like he would be absolutely loaded.
02:07He's still going to be loaded
02:08whenever he does decide to or whenever he gets PGA tour card.
02:12He's going to get a pretty dang big deal.
02:15But I just.
02:16A. PGA tour, you think?
02:20Yes, it's great for the college kids to try to, you know,
02:23have something to look at to, you know, work their way up onto the PGA tour.
02:28But when a kid goes out and does what he did this year, it's it's like, man,
02:33like this is what you're trying to prevent guys from going to live for.
02:37It's like you've got to figure out how
02:40like a way in which this guy has a PGA tour card,
02:42like instantly like going into next year.
02:44But I know they're not going to make changes for guys
02:47because the rules are already set in place. But
02:51yeah, it's crazy.
02:52Top hundred in the world.
02:53Guys got the ad factor like, yes, he does.
02:56He does have the ad factor.
02:57The one thing that
02:59that watching him over, you know, a course of a golf tournament in his game,
03:04his putting stroke is as pure as one that I mean,
03:08I put it his stroke up against anybody's like I would put Sam Burns.
03:12Luke Clan are my two favorite strokes right now in the game.
