00:00This is an award-giving body that introduces people to outstanding personalities and companies in the field of business.

00:09Our guest this morning is South East Asian Premier Business and Achieve Awards.

00:16And to give us information and stories about this organization,

00:23we have with us Sir Niro, the Awards Committee Chairperson and Awardee.

00:27And our awardee for today is Sir Rogelio. He is with us today.

00:33Alright, first, what is the theme and focus of South East Asian Premier Business and Achieve Awards this year, Sir Niro?

00:41Good morning. Good morning. And of course, thank you very much for your time, Rise and Shine.

00:48Our awards night today, our award-giving body, is to introduce Filipinos who can fight in South East Asia,

00:58their industry that they are counting on.

01:00So, their business, their talent, what are their talents, these are the ones we can fight in South East Asia.

01:09Yes, so not just here in the Philippines, right?

01:12It's really an international level here in South East Asian countries.

01:17So, how do you choose the categories and qualifications?

01:24For this year, this is our second year, we have 100 plus categories.

01:32This is nominated to us and then this is chosen by our selecting committee.

01:40Then, we have a vote, we do research, and then whatever will be left, those will be the best.

01:50It's hard work, but as we say, if your team is good with the visuals, you will be really competitive.

02:02Alright, for our awardee, Sir Rogelio Medina, first of all, of course, congratulations for being one of the awardees.

02:10What award did you receive?

02:12Thank you for giving rise to Rise and Shine in the Philippines.

02:20What award did you receive?

02:24Premier Freelance Journalist of the Year.

02:30Okay, Sir, how does it feel that you won this award?

02:36Can you tell us about it?

02:40I've been in the industry for a long time, I've been a freelancer for a long time.

02:46First, I wrote abroad, in the Paris Economic Review in Hong Kong.

02:53Then, in the Japan Times Weekly, I became a columnist there when I was based in Tokyo.

02:59And then, in GALT News, in the UAE, I also wrote there.

03:04Now, I'm writing in the Asian Journal in America.

03:08But, we have a lot here in the Philippines, in Inquirer, in Philippine Star, in Manila Bulletin, name it all.

03:19But, I started in the Evening Post, the late Karima Polotan Tuvera.

03:24I started doing an article about an institution for the elderly.

03:30That's where it started, in Golden Acres.

03:32Ah, Golden Acres.

03:34You've been in the industry for a long time.

03:37And not only here in the Philippines, but also here in Southeast Asia and in the US as well.

03:43Congratulations.

03:45Sir Niro, what should our co-RSP expect from this event?

03:53A lot.

03:54Like what Sir Rogelio said, his roots are really deserving of being named.

04:04And for sure, he'll be very happy with his awards.

04:09Also, you'll be able to see their story of success, their perseverance to be successful in their industry.

04:22And of course, they'll also perform and give their success stories in the awards night.
