00:23The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, or OECD, projects that Indonesia's economy will grow by 5.2% in 2025.
00:35The projection is included in the OECD Economic Survey Indonesia November 2024.
00:42While for 2024, the OECD projects that Indonesia's economic growth will only reach 5.1% annually, or lower than the target in the 2024 budget of 5.25% annually.
00:55The OECD states that the projection of economic growth of 5.2% in 2025 will be driven by strong consumption and private investment, which is likely to increase.
01:04However, the fiscal deficit is expected to widen slightly due to spending on development in the archipelago, although it is projected to remain below the 3% limit.
01:14Even so, the OECD notes that there are a number of factors that may occur and can interfere with the prospects of Indonesia's economic growth.
01:21Starting from the rise in food and energy prices, declining interest in investors that can cause investment to decline, and the emergence of foreign capital flows from domestic and natural disasters.
01:31The OECD says that although Indonesia's economic growth has recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic, global uncertainty is still very high, so the government is asked to remain optimistic.
