00:00The Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation blocked this AUV after it passed through Edza Busway on Main Avenue Station in Quezon City last night.

00:14But even though the number of enforcers stopping the vehicle, the vehicle is still moving.

00:19According to SAIC, this is a DILG vehicle and it is being driven by a 35-year-old man who recognizes the police.

00:27There are many other enforcers there, but this is the only one that didn't move and blocked the front of the vehicle, which is a DILG vehicle.

00:38According to these enforcers, he recognized the police from DILG.

00:45The driver's license was confiscated and he was fined P5,000 for the first offense.

00:52The driver's registered residence is in the BACR so apparently, he's not aware of the use of the busway, the restricted use of the busway.

01:07The driver was not able to get the license plate of the vehicle that was confiscated by SAIC after it was blocked.

01:12We are trying to get the license plate of the DILG vehicle.

01:16Last night, SAIC was fined P40,000 for the illegal use of the EDSA busway here on Main Avenue Station.

01:23Their vehicles are a taxi, three government vehicles, four private vehicles, and the others are motorcycles.

01:31According to the DOTR, there are only a few vehicles that are allowed to pass through the EDSA busway,

01:37such as ambulances on duty, fire trucks and PNP vehicles, and the five highest officials of the government.

01:46Now that the holiday traffic is slowly being felt, especially in Metro Manila,

01:50SAIC is expecting that the number of EDSA busway violators will increase.

01:55They are also studying the possible increase of fines for violators.

02:01The holiday rush hour has already started and many are being forced to use the busway even though they are not authorized.
