00:00We expect an important change, a change that is aimed above all to further qualify the
00:09infirmary profession in the relationships within the multi-professional team, therefore
00:13with the doctors and with the other components of the team, but above all qualifies more
00:18the infirmary skills in response to the needs of the citizens.
00:23We have been guided in fact by epidemiological and demographic issues.
00:26Italy is a country that is aging in an important way, we are not aging in good health,
00:32the health and social needs are increasingly complex, increasingly articulated and therefore
00:37there is a need for a highly qualified and specialised infirmary component to give
00:42an important contribution both in this response to the needs of citizens and within the professional team.
00:48We have focused on three key addresses, which are those that collect most of the
00:54assistance settings at the moment and above all are the most strategic, therefore the whole
00:58issue of territorial and primary care, the issue of pediatric neonatal infirmary care,
01:04given also the great demographic problem we have, and the issue of emergency.
01:09Then we hope to continue with other specialist paths, but with the logic of valuing
01:15on the one hand the profession, therefore making it more attractive and making sure that
01:18young people can choose it because they know that there is also a development towards a specialisation design,
01:27but also to value and qualify the contribution that the nurses give to the national health service.
01:33These documents are marked as prescription of care and aid completed in the process of
01:38nursing assistance.
01:39I am pleased to clarify this because we are talking about those care and assistance
01:44that the nurses have always used, so I am talking about care for incontinence, I am talking about care for
01:49stomatized patients, I am talking about care for advanced medications, on which the nurses already have
01:54advanced and specialist skills because they are often also specialists of the products.
02:00They identify, therefore, within the process of nursing assistance that has been in force for 30 years,
02:07they identify the need of the patient, they identify the assistance intervention.
02:12In the assistance intervention that they have to plan, there is also the use of care and aid,
02:17and so we have completed this path after 30 years of the norm because once the assistance goal
02:22has been defined, the nurse has the title to indicate which care and aid to use and can give this
02:28indication through the nursing prescription of the use of care and aid.
