Elgin City manager Allan Hale post-match for Scottish Cup against Kelty Hearts
Transcript
00:00Yes, the players deserve so much credit today because that was a really difficult tie and
00:04probably one of the hardest games that we're going to have to play this season against
00:07a team who are flying high and rightly so in their own league with the quality that
00:11they have. We knew that from having played them twice already but I thought the players
00:15showed a tremendous amount of character in the game. Certainly in moments of adversity
00:19where we lost both goals, I thought they responded really well to those moments. The subs have
00:25come on again as they've done countless times so far this season and I know really helped
00:30get us over the line. I thought Dylan was tremendous when he came on. Two really good
00:35moments of quality from him. His goal was the reason why we brought him here because
00:38we knew from studying him that when he makes that movement and he takes that first touch
00:43in towards goal that he's a really deadly finisher. The strength that he had and more
00:48so the awareness that he had to play a really great ball across the face of the box. Ryan
00:54Sargent capped off an outstanding performance individually from him today with two really
00:58well taken goals and we managed the game out pretty well when it went 3-2 as well. So delight
01:03for the players and delight for the club and the town and the community to get to experience
01:08a 4-7 tie. What we'll be will be in terms of the draw and regardless of who we get we'll
01:14prepare properly as we always do but hopefully as every other club that progress today they'll
01:21all be hoping for the same thing. Hopefully we can get that opportunity when the draw
01:26comes around on Monday.
