00:00These are a few of our autumn calving cows. They calve in February, March and the calves are all
00:05sired by Black Magic Bulls which we breed ourselves. For the last 10 or more years we have
00:12supplied weaners to the feature sale Euroa and we expect to have about 150 steers go in
00:20and followed by about 100 heifers. So this is a selection of our 150 weaners. We keep our cows
00:27for seven or eight years and we keep changing them over. We buy and sell in Euroa. So these
00:34calves that haven't been weaned, they'll be weaned in a fortnight so they'll be
00:38off their mothers for a fortnight before they go into the sale.
00:42So we'll properly wean. We'll do a combination of yard weaning and paddock weaning.
00:49We're very conscious of bringing them into the yards with the dust so we have sprinklers in
00:54our yards to keep the dust down. We're pretty happy with our calves. They've turned out all
01:00right. They've still got their winter coat and they're just starting to clean up now. We think
01:05in another three weeks when the sale pops around we'll get a great selection out of them.
