00:00Hello, my name's Clive Iron and I'm the Chair of Shropshire Mental Health Support.
00:05We're here today to launch our new vehicle. It's the brand new mental health wellbeing
00:10vehicle that's going to provide support across the whole of the county. We had a previous
00:16vehicle which we ran for two and a half years as an experiment. It's an old vehicle. What
00:21it did was prove a concept that people need support out in the rural communities. It enables
00:28us to reach to everybody at the point that they have a need. As the charity averts between
00:35about 700 and 800 potential suicides per annum and this will allow us to reach out, prevent
00:41but also to provide support into schools as well. We're in our 50th anniversary. We had
00:46celebrations this year at Shrewstown Football Club and we're really proud of our heritage.
00:51We're based in Shropshire. Everything we do is in Shropshire. We have no national affiliations.
00:57We're quite a creative and forward thinking charity. We're nimble so we can respond to
01:01whatever the needs are at the drop of a hat. But having this ability to push this out where
01:08services have become quite centric in Shrewsbury, it means that everybody in the county feels
01:12valued and gets the support they need when they need it.
