00:00Now just looking back at that Palace game a few days on, I don't think there's any Newcastle
00:07supporters out there who can say Newcastle deserved something from that game. As you've
00:12seen the stats by now, well the lack of stats, Newcastle didn't have a shot at goal in that
00:18game, it was apparently a blocked shot but yeah, comments on social media after, I'm
00:23not sure when people knew that actually when that blocked shot had came. So a really poor
00:29attacking performance by Newcastle United. Of course, the way the goal came about, Anthony
00:35Gordon's cross deflected in by Newcastle United's main summer transfer target, Mark
00:40Gee. And yeah, anyhow, after the game felt, at that point they said they'd done enough
00:45to win the game but up pops Daniel Munoz at the back post in the 94th minute to inflict
00:51it. Newcastle didn't deserve anything so if anything it was Palace that openly got a deserved
00:58equaliser and to be fair probably feel they should have won the game but maybe if you
01:03look at it, it was two poorer sides on the day and yeah, Newcastle need to improve on
01:09that because Palace fighting relegation in the early stages of the season, anyway that's
01:15what it looks like going to be. Newcastle want to go and push and challenge the European
01:20places again. Of course, the Premier League table is very tight this season but they currently
01:26sit in the bottom half, 11th. Having at the start of the week as well, losing to West
01:31Ham on Monday night and then going to Palace, you get maximum points on those two games
01:36and Newcastle would have actually been in the top four at the Premier League. So of
01:41course the Premier League table is very tight this season, there's not many teams showing
01:45consistency but I say for Newcastle and Aspirations that you've got to get back in the European
01:50places, they've got to start showing some consistency and they've really struggled to
01:54do that this season.
02:24So I think again we're in that position where you have to step back from the games before
02:29it and judge the game on its own merits and say that's a performance with a huge amount
02:33of positives for Sunderland. I think what they've again shown that they can match any
02:37team in this division, that's one of the toughest assignments they've had yet and I thought
02:40large parts of their game were excellent. Don't forget again that they were missing
02:43some key players in the likes of Denis Sirk and Romain Mundel. So loads to take from the
02:48game but I think you could sense from both Loredis, Lebris and the players afterwards
02:52that they knew there was a huge opportunity to go buy them. It's a big three points for
02:56Sheffield United.
