00:00Several lawmakers have strongly opposed the vice president's recent remarks against the lower house.
00:05In an interview, VP Sara Gutierrez said the lawmakers were gaslighting and terrorizing her
00:11office and her staff amid the congressional investigation into the alleged misuse of her
00:16confidential funds. And during today's press conference, both house assistant majority
00:21leaders, Pami Zamora and Zia Alonto-Adyong, along with one-rider party list representative
00:28Rog Gutierrez, insisted they are simply doing their jobs. Zamora also responded to the vice
00:34president's statement that she would have won the 2022 presidency hadn't she stepped aside.
00:44Then why didn't she run? If she had it in the bag, she should have,
00:48she should have run.
00:51I mean, it's 2025, right? Now you're going to say that? No, she should have run.
00:59Had they answered the questions from the very beginning, then the hearings would have ended.
01:05What we're trying to exercise here is the mandate, is the mandate of this office,
01:10I mean the mandate of the legislature. The only way for us to really find out
01:14is to hold these inquiries, no? And to hold anybody accountable.
01:19Let's set aside politics. We're just doing our job here. We're talking about
01:22transparency and accountability. So dun lang laman po yung issue natin.
