00:00Christian McCaffrey in his third game of the season after the
00:08Achilles tendonitis kept him out for the opening half of the
00:11year. Last night in the first half in Buffalo, a PCL injury as
00:17Kyle Shanahan told the media after the game. He said
00:21potentially season ending. That was his prognosis. Dr. Chow,
00:26what is yours as it pertains to Christian McCaffrey?
00:30Well, it's good to hear the confirmation, not that it was an
00:32injury, but that our in-game thoughts were correct. When he
00:37first went down on that sweep to the right, I was like, what did
00:41he do? Did he pull a muscle? I don't see an injury happening
00:44on that play. It was the previous play. A lot of people
00:47focused on the quiver of the calf muscle, but that was on
00:50the left side to break because he couldn't stop because he
00:53couldn't cut on the right knee. The previous play, look, it
00:57was an inch away from a touchdown, a breakaway touchdown,
01:01shoestring tackle, and he goes down on his right knee. And
01:05that's what we tweeted in-game and talked about at the
01:08halftime injury chat for six score that that was a PCL
01:12spring. The good news is it's not surgical. The good news
01:19is it's not season ending. If it were earlier in the season
01:24because it's getting late in the season, it could be. Dalton
01:29Kincaid on the Bills has a PCL that he's missed a couple
01:32weeks now. Puka Nakua from early season. Good news, no
01:37surgery. Bad news, it's multiple weeks. And at week going
01:42into week 14, there's not that many multiple weeks left
01:46here. And, you know, a turn of fortunes again for the
01:4949ers adds to all their other woes of injuries. And by
01:54the way, that Bills minus six or whatever the number was
01:57was our guaranteed pick of the week. And we're six and
02:01one on those now on the season because of all the injuries
02:04to the 49ers on both sides of the ball.
