01:22And if he doesn't, it doesn't mean he's bad, but it just doesn't, you know, it doesn't
01:25get him to that next level of, okay, you know what?
01:28We got to really, really appreciate and respect Brock Purdy for being a good quarterback.
01:32So there are a lot of people this off season, Ben, I remember you and I talked about it
01:35that, you know, we're down a little bit on San Francisco and neither one of us, without
01:39putting words in your mouth, could quite understand that and come to grips with that.
01:43But I don't know if they were predicting injuries or not, but maybe, you know, in the NFL after
01:48two or three years, you know, it's eventually got to come to roost.
01:51You don't stay healthy that long in the NFL.
01:54You generally somehow or another just get hit with a bunch of injuries and they're getting
01:58it.
01:59So does this mean they can't turn it around?

02:01I wouldn't be too encouraged about Christian McCaffrey.
02:03I mean, whatever's going on with him, you know, this has taken a lot longer than just
02:08a little bump, little bruise, little whatever.
02:10I mean, he's going overseas trying to get, you know, things done to help his foot out.
02:15This might just be one of those years, Ben, for Sam Fran where it's, you know, it's not
02:18going to happen.

02:22Scott, the only thing that confused me about San Francisco was the fact they were placed
02:26in front of Kansas City at a few points in the off season with a shorter price to win
02:30a Super Bowl.
02:31And it wasn't exactly rah, rah.

02:43Some of just didn't feel like an overly optimistic off season to not expect all of these injuries.

02:49I don't really think that Christian McCaffrey was the offensive player of the year last

02:54Not demeaning what he means to this organization, but the other injuries on the outside far
02:59more significant to me because Jordan Mason has done enough in terms of production to
03:04kind of lessen some of the blow that losing McCaffrey is.
03:08Let's not forget, Jawan Jennings was ruled out for Sunday, did not even play in that
03:13game against Kansas City.
03:15And Scott, if you are a detractor against Brock Purdy, his last three games have not
03:20been great.
03:21Multiple interceptions in two of three.
03:24Three touchdowns without a single touchdown, or three interceptions rather, without a single
03:28touchdown pass last week against the Chiefs.
03:31He has thrown multiple interceptions in two of the last three for San Francisco.
03:35Had three total games prior to this year with multiple interceptions.
