00:00Russia discussed the elaboration of a strategy for the development of the education system
00:04until 2040.
00:05The document is being prepared on behalf of the President and will be presented in the
00:09spring of 2025.
00:11Oleg Yasitsky with the details.
00:16The development of a unified education strategy for the country is under preparation in Russia.
00:22This national project, as part of Youth and Children, is to be submitted to the government
00:27in March 2025 and will involve experts in the field of education, teachers, rectors
00:33of leading universities, business representatives, state corporations, students and young people.
00:39The country faces great challenges.
00:45There is still a great demand to improve the quality of national education.
00:49But there are also serious problems.
00:52This involves a high bureaucratic burden on teachers and a shortage of teachers in several
00:57regions.
00:58Several systemic decisions have already been taken to improve this area.
01:01The President has developed a comprehensive action plan aimed at improving the quality
01:05of education in mathematics, physics and natural science subjects in general in all schools
01:10in the country, and at increasing the level of teacher training in these disciplines and
01:14eliminating the shortage of personnel.
01:21The issue of youth policy is of strategic importance to the country, especially at this
01:27historic moment.
01:28Today's young people are the future of the country and everything possible must be done
01:32to help them learn to express themselves and their talents, set goals and achieve success.
01:37Many reforms in recent years have been counterproductive for educational development, so they need to
01:42be re-evaluated.
01:43We must return to traditional Russian education.
01:50We can no longer train high school students for the unified state exam.
01:54Instead of providing them with real skills, the indicator of education was not the quality,
01:59but the number of machine-readable points.
02:01I think one of the important achievements of last year's State Duma was the passage
02:05of the Unified Curriculum and Unified Textbook Law in the humanities.
02:10We got rid of hundreds of actual textbooks written under the dictation of Soros consultants.
02:19The needs and wishes of the students themselves and their parents are also taken into account
02:24when developing the strategy.
02:25To collect data on their expectations, sociological studies are conducted on the government services
02:31portal.
02:32There are working groups with university students, as well as with middle and high school students.
02:42This is work on a scale unprecedented in our country's modern history.
02:46In fact, the whole country is involved in it.
02:50The education system as a whole must meet the national goals and objectives set for
02:54us by the President and help to strengthen economic sovereignty in all key areas.
02:59To this end, it is necessary for the educational field to fully meet the personnel requirements
03:04of the industry.
03:12State policy in the field of education will be implemented by granting subsidies to the
03:17regions.
03:18While emphasizing the importance of aligning regional projects with federal objectives.
03:27As well as the principles on which education policy is based.
03:30This coordination is aimed at increasing efficiency and achieving the goals of the national education
03:36project.
