00:00In Venezuela, the second day of the international colloquium Ayacucho 1824-2024, under the
00:07motto Unity, Sovereignty and Peace, is underway.
00:10The event, that takes place in the spaces of the Romulo Gallego Center for the Latin
00:14American Studies of the Caribbean, the CELARC, is held within the framework of the Bicentennial
00:21of the Battle of Ayacucho and counts with the participation of more than 20 national
00:26and international speakers, who during their speeches highlighted the impetus of the peoples
00:31of the Americas in the face of Spanish colonialism.
00:35In this event, a series of presentations and exhibitions have been developed in which the
00:39importance of this event will be remembered.
00:43The meeting was installed on Saturday, November 7th, with the objective of establishing a
00:49space for reflection on the historical significance of this historic event.
01:01During the second day of the international colloquium of Ayacucho, the representative
01:04of Colombia, Rocío Castellanos, emphasized that this battle represented the liberation
01:10of the peoples of the Americas from the colonization of the Spanish Empire.
01:17The Battle of December 9th, 1824 in the Ayacucho and Pampas transformed the project of liberation
01:23of South America.
01:25The liberation of what was expected to be only South America was reflected in the Latin
01:31American press as the liberation of Spanish America.
01:35It was the world-like confrontation that supported the subsequent construction of a discourse
01:40of Latin American Union.

01:50throughout the country on Saturday as part of the campaign ahead of the December 15th

01:56In this regard, the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, explained that
02:00in the upcoming days, nominees will share their proposals with the communities and also
02:05listen to their needs.
02:07In this election, more than 52,000 Venezuelans are nominated to become Communal Justices
02:12of Peace, which will have the role of promoting coexistence and dealing with local problems
02:18pertaining the communities.
