00:232018, the year of their big royal wedding. As royal watchers know all too well,
00:29the years since have been fraught with domestic drama — the couple spilling all the tea in
00:33that controversial Oprah interview, Harry's unsparing tell-all memoir,
00:37and even their own headline-making Netflix docu-series. To make matters worse,
00:41sources say King Charles III and his youngest son haven't connected for months.
00:46One of Harry's friends told People in July that the Duke's calls simply go unanswered,
00:50even calls inquiring about his father's health.

00:57Harry and Charles last got together for a quick in-person visit in February.
01:01Since then, the king has reportedly been unable to make time for Harry when he's been in the U.K.

01:45invited the Sussexes to the U.K. for the holiday, according to Express.
01:48But it appears that Harry and Meghan will be staying in sunny Montecito,
01:52California instead, spending Christmas with Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland.

02:15take part in that tradition back on royal soil.
