The first wave of TRNSMT’s 2025 lineup has been announced, and while a number of returning acts will take the stage there is also a variety of performers listed who have never played the festival before.

150,000 music fans are expected to descend on Glasgow Green from 11 to 13 July for the event’s eighth edition.

American rapper 50 Cent has been named the headliner for the Friday, just off the back of his first Las Vegas residency and will make him the first rapper to lead the lineup since Stormzy in 2019.

The festival’s opening day will also include the Script, Wet Leg, Belfast hip hop trio Kneecap who just done two sold out shows at the Barrowlands, Jamie Webster, Confidence Man and Twin Atlantic.

Biffy Clyro are at the top of Saturday’s bill taking fans on a walk down memory lane with a set list including hits from all nine albums.

They will be joined by Fontaines DC, the Dublin band soaring in popularity with the release of their latest album Romance, The Kooks, Inhaler, Sigrid, Wunderhorse and Jake Bugg.

And then Sunday will feature crowd favourites Snow Patrol alongside Gracie Abrams, Shed Seven, The Lathams, and Glasgow’s own Rianne Downey.

Early bird tickets will be on sale from 6 December.
