00:00The 13 last Filipino surrogate mothers were sentenced in Cambodia this October

00:06for the case of human trafficking.

00:08From up to 20 years in prison,

00:10the sentence for our countrymen is reduced to four years in prison

00:15according to the Justice Department.

00:17Two years there is a suspended sentence.

00:19It means that they need to stay there for two years before they can return home.

00:25They were 20 in the first half of October,

00:27but they were the first to send home seven children who did not bring any people.

00:31The investigation into the recruitment of surrogates is already underway

00:34and trafficking has become a process for them.

00:37The government of the Philippines and Cambodia will discuss

00:40the fate of the children when they are born.

00:44The nationality of the children will also be discussed

00:47who were raised in the surrogacy of surrogates.

00:52For us, these children are Filipinos.

00:58Whoever gave birth to a child is the mother of the child.
