00:00After perhaps a chilly start to the night temperatures are actually going to rise as we go through the early hours of tomorrow morning
00:06So it is going to be a milder start to the day on Thursday than it has been through some recent mornings
00:12But a wet blustery start to the day across parts of the southeast
00:16Most of that rain and the strongest winds will clear away towards the east quite quickly through the morning
00:21And so there's going to be a quieter spell across much of the country for a time the winds dropping out some sunshine perhaps
00:27Before another system pushes its way in this one's perhaps a little bit more showery in nature
00:32So there'll be some showery bursts. It could become a bit more organized
00:35So it could be lasting for quite a while in some places and they will be intense, too
00:41There will also be some strong gusty winds some squally winds mixed in with them
00:46And so we have another wind warning in force this time for parts of Northern Ireland, South West Scotland
00:51Into North Wales and some northern central parts of England the strongest winds around coastal parts
00:56But also where we see the heaviest showers pushing their way through we could see some strong gusts mixed in
01:02It is going to be relatively mild for the time of year
01:06These temperatures a few degrees above average
01:08But whilst it's going to be relatively quiet during the middle part of day once the wet and windy weather picks up again
01:14It's going to feel fairly unpleasant
01:17Through Thursday evening and overnight. Well through the evening. There'll be some further heavy showery rain for a time
01:22But a lot of that clears away
01:23we do actually have a bit of a ridge of high pressure and so things will quieten down as we go through the early
01:28Hours of Friday morning some clear skies a few showers around northern and western parts
01:32Maybe even a wintry element to some of these showers over the hills and mountains of Scotland
01:37But most places turning largely dry and with that temperatures dropping a little bit lower than they have done
01:43Through well, they will have done through Wednesday night
01:45So a bit of a chillier start first thing on Friday morning
01:48Then it will be on Thursday morning as we go through Friday itself
01:52Then a large chunk of the day will be largely fine plenty of sunshine around will be at winter sunshine
01:58So not especially strong but later as we go into the afternoon
02:01Another system makes its way in and this is going to bring some heavy rain some strong winds initially across parts of Northern Ireland
02:08But as we go through Friday afternoon, it is going to push into western parts of Scotland England and Wales as well
02:14And with that then we have another warning this time
02:18It's a rain and wind warning because we could again see gusts of around 60 to 70 miles per hour
02:24perhaps even 80 miles per hour and some rainfall totals really building up as well as we go through the end of the day Friday and
02:31Particularly through much of Saturday and with that as well temperatures
02:35Well, they're a little bit lower than on Thursday, but still not too bad for the time of year
02:40but with all the wet and windy weather arriving as we go through the end of Friday and beyond it's really going to feel quite
02:45unpleasant if we look further ahead and it's worth bearing in mind that this area of low pressure that brings that unsettled weather into the
02:52weekend there is quite a bit of uncertainty about it uncertain as to how deep it's going to be how intense and
02:59Uncertain as the track it's going to take it could go across central parts of the UK
03:02It could go further south in which case we may not see quite as much rain and the strongest winds
03:07But it's just worth bearing in mind that Saturday in particular could be a wet and windy day for many places
03:13Especially for England and Wales turning quieter on Sunday as high pressure builds in from the West and this is well
03:19We're pretty confident on this higher
03:21Confidence for the fact that we are going to see high pressure building and so a more settled start will be a chillier start
03:26To the beginning of next week
