00:00 Hello, good morning. It's a wetter picture for many today compared to yesterday with some wet and windy weather
00:05 Already having pushed into parts of the UK. We have some heavy persistent rain across this area of England particularly towards the east northeast
00:13 Here we're likely to see some high rainfall totals through the day perhaps 30 to 50 millimeters as a result of warnings issued
00:20 Because we could see some disruption to travel and some localized flooding too. Elsewhere across many parts of the UK
00:27 There will be some sunny breaks, but also a fair few showers and particularly in the south
00:32 I'm expecting some of these showers to be quite hefty some rumbles of thunder are possible. Further north across parts of Scotland
00:39 There will be some showery rain through the morning
00:41 But that will gradually clear away and then it's going to turn drier with some bright sunny skies particularly towards the north of Scotland though
00:47 Watch out for some showers across Orkney and Shetland
00:50 There is also going to be a swathe of wet weather in the southwest later this afternoon
00:54 But looking at temperatures, they're near normal for the time of year perhaps a touchdown compared to Monday
00:59 That's why the wet weather I just mentioned will push its way
01:03 Eastwards as we go through the end of the day and it is going to be quite heavy overnight particularly across southern counties of England
01:09 Perhaps Wales too. Otherwise, we'll also end up with low pressure out in the North Sea and that's going to drag in
01:15 Easterly winds bringing increasing amounts of cloud and rain to eastern parts of Scotland. Further west for Western Scotland, Northern Ireland
01:23 Parts of Northwest England, Wales and Southwest England will have some clear skies and under those clear skies
01:28 It's going to turn a little chilly, chillier than last night for sure with more places dropping into single figures
01:34 Wednesday then we get off to a wet start in the southeast some heavy rain here
01:38 But that should clear away through the morning
01:40 Otherwise though we do continue with the cloudy wet theme across eastern parts of Scotland perhaps North East England too
01:46 And remember it's this area which really saw the heaviest rain in association with Storm Barbette
01:52 So any rain, although it doesn't look too heavy is going to make any ongoing issues worse here. Elsewhere
01:58 There will be a drier spell something even brighter for a time
02:02 But more wet weather waiting to push its way in from the west as we go later on in the day
02:06 Temperatures similar to what we've seen recently really highs around 15-16 Celsius towards the south
02:12 As we look through the rest of the week and it is going to be quite an unsettled picture low pressure never too far away
02:18 And so we are going to see some strong winds at times and some further heavy rain as a result
02:23 We may need to issue some more warnings
02:25 So it is definitely worth keeping up to date with the forecast wherever you are across our social media our website and our app
02:31 I'll see you later. Bye. Bye
