00:00Before we go to the CDC in Bagong, Philippines, Director Nicolette,
00:05before you release the report later,
00:08tell us about the Christmas display lighting ceremony that you did in Clark.
00:15Yes, Ninia, we had Christmas tree lighting.
00:19This Christmas tree can be found in Clark Parade Grounds.
00:23It is 45 feet.
00:24And we also have a giant lantern that is 30 feet.
00:28And we also had a Threads of Kindness runway show in the parade grounds
00:34where we were helped by a famous designer, Mitch Viray.
00:38He was the one who was worn by our directors and other stakeholders
00:41of tourism-related establishments in the Clark Freeport Zone,
00:44along with the children from Maria Children's Home, Inc.,
00:49in this orphanage in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
00:53This is to show unity, compassion, and the joy of giving
00:58during this Christmas season in the Clark Freeport Zone.
01:02I also want to add, Ninia, that in our CDC package for today,
01:08in our special report,
01:10we want to highlight the use of solar energy in the Clark Freeport Zone.
01:15That's why the CDC officials,
01:19along with Energy Secretary Rafael Lotilia,
01:22Undersecretary Ruena Guevara, and ASEC Ronald Conquilla,
01:26will see that in our special report.
01:28Okay, thank you very much for the update.
01:30Christmas is really here.
01:32And we can visit Clark, right?
01:35It's nice to see the whole family.
01:39And since Thursday is CDC Day,
01:41we will bring to you the programs and projects of Clark Development Corporation
01:46for the continued development of the Clark Freeport Zone towards a new Philippines.
01:50We will talk about the extended use of solar energy in the Clark Freeport Zone
01:55and a project that will be launched with the help of CDC and TESDA.
02:00Let's watch.
02:03Clark Development Corporation, or CDC,
02:06is promoting the extended use of solar energy in the Clark Freeport Zone.
02:12As of December 2, in Taguig City,
02:15CDC President and CEO Attorney Agnes V. Esti-Devanadera
02:20presented to Energy Secretary Rafael Lotilia
02:22the great potential of the Clark Freeport Zone for renewable energy.
02:26Attorney Devanadera highlighted 20 locators with solar rooftop installations
02:32and 23 more locators with sufficient space for solar rooftop panels.
02:37This also includes the initiative to take advantage of incentives
02:41to increase energy efficiency and sustainability.
02:45Based on the study of Thinking Machines Data Science in 2023,
02:49which is titled Shedding Sunlight on Clark's Potential for Rooftop Solar,
02:53246 hectares of rooftop space can be used to install solar panels in Clark,
02:59which can produce up to 246 megawatts of electricity.
03:05At one point, CDC and DOE held a meeting
03:09where the DOE presented their Expanded Roof-Mounted Solar Program, or ERSP.
03:15At present, it is estimated that only 1% of Clark's total solar rooftop potential
03:21is being used.
03:23Therefore, Clark Development Corporation continues to work and assist
03:27the Department of Energy
03:29to encourage Clark locators to use solar energy.
03:34This initiative is in line with Sustainable Development Goal 7
03:38on Affordable and Clean Energy.
03:43Meanwhile, part of the continued efforts of the employees
03:48is to launch a new and innovative project in the Clark Freeport Zone
03:52through the cooperation of CDC and TESDA
03:56or Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
03:59It aims to strengthen the ability of Filipinos in the industry
04:03through training that meets the needs of businesses.
04:07Signed by CDC President and CEO Attorney Agnes V. Esti de Veradera
04:11and TESDA Director General Jose Francisco Benitez
04:14is a deed of use of rock on November 8 in Royce Hotel and Casino
04:18which is a remote location of the Regional Tivet Innovation Center or RTIC here in Clark.
04:23The project with a fund of Php 207.5 million from the Asian Development Bank
04:28is part of the Supporting Innovation in the Philippine Technical Vocational Education and Training Program.
04:33It will be the center of innovative training in Warehouse and Logistics Management
04:37and Big Data Analytics
04:39using advanced facilities such as Intelligent Warehousing,
04:43Robotics Labs, and Fabrication Workshops.
04:46According to Attorney de Veradera,
04:47this partnership will help to match the importance of the workforce
04:52and the needs of the industry.
04:54TESDA is very much alive.
04:57TESDA is the answer to the gaps that we have identified.
05:04Secretary Benitez has made TESDA's dedication
05:08to promote the ability of Filipino workers to be globally competitive.
05:13We train Filipinos for any and all of their aspirations and dreams
05:20whether to work locally or to go abroad.
05:25RTIC will be built in the Clark Freeport Zone
05:28near the leading industries such as Logistics, Manufacturing, and IT.
05:33The project will have a climate smart design
05:36that is based on Clark's vision of being a center of technology, innovation, and sustainability.
05:42With the help of local governments for the trainees
05:45such as transportation subsidies,
05:47RTIC's goal is to prepare Filipinos for the jobs in the industries
05:51that are committed to equal governance.
05:59Stay tuned for more updates and announcements
06:01by Clark in the next edition of CDC in the new Philippines.
06:07And for our Christmas countdown,
06:10it's just 20 days away, it's already Christmas!
