00:00The Italian cooperatives, in this particular historical phase, with an economy that is not growing and is rather steady,
00:14are also looking to the future, to the coming years, with a certain concern.
00:20Marginality has been significantly reduced in recent years due to both interest rates and energy costs,
00:28which is an increase also due to the cost of labor linked to various new contracts.
00:35We are trying to face this phase in the hope that we will be able to enhance
00:44those aspects of the Italian economy or, more strongly, cooperatives,
00:49which will lead us to design a cooperative future for this country.
00:55It is clear that we are in a phase in which there is also a development model,
01:01not only in Italy but also in Europe, which is starting to take shape.
01:05We believe that cooperation and the social economy can be the answer to many of the needs
01:12and inequalities that have emerged or have increased in recent years.
01:18We are working in many directions.
01:21Cooperation related to renewable energies, energy communities,
01:27rather than community cooperatives, the new cooperation on the agri-food world,
01:34are the scenarios we are moving towards, without forgetting the need to project
01:41the cooperative world into the big world of platforms.
01:46In recent years, we have been developing several digital cooperative platforms
01:52that reflect on the possibility of a cooperative ownership of data,
01:59which is closer to cooperative ideals and could lead to representing a different model of approach to the market.
02:11We are in a phase in which cooperation must regenerate itself
02:15within an economic scenario that is changing,
02:19and we are all working together on this within the cooperative alliances.
02:25This is the scenario we have in front of us, which will be of necessary support,
02:30where there will also be an occupational support, which is a bit the characteristic of the cooperative world.
02:38We think there is also a need for a public intervention,
02:42not so much in the economic dimension, but in the definition of industrial policies,
02:47which also see in cooperation and in the social economy
02:50one of the parts of the future development of this country.
