00:00The sector of agriculture in the Philippines is expected to grow stronger.
00:04This is after the construction of the first mobile soil laboratory in the country
00:09which was led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:13The details are in the news of Kenneth Paciente of PTV Manila.
00:19It is thought to be a simple truck,
00:21but this 10-wheeler truck is fully equipped with new equipment and facilities
00:26that will help in the analysis of soil parameters or soil quality
00:29of farmers in the country.
00:31This is the first mobile soil laboratory in the country
00:35which was led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:39According to the President,
00:40the mobile soil laboratory will serve as a guide
00:43to help farmers on proper soil data
00:47for effective use of fertilizer.
00:49It will also enhance and improve their production
00:53while helping farmers to make their land fertile
00:57so that they can continue their livelihood.
00:59The MSL will be able to analyze more than 40 chemical,
01:05physical, and microbiological parameters of soil and water.
01:13Through this, our farmers will be able to ensure that their land is fertile,
01:20the foundation of a higher and more prosperous crop.
01:24It will also teach them new knowledge in technology
01:28and new ways of agriculture
01:31because it will also serve as a training facility.
01:33This is more than just the help of the laboratory
01:36to create new techniques in agriculture
01:39that, according to the President,
01:41will strengthen the agriculture sector and the use of food security in the country.
01:46This will not only help our farmers.
01:49The data that will be collected from this
01:52will also provide us with information
01:58so that we can build a foundation
02:02that meets the real needs of our agriculture
02:07and in every place because the situation is different.
02:11The MSL is worth P38 million.
02:16This is an additional P16 million
02:17that is expected to be invested in the next year
02:20and will be invested in different regions of the country.
02:23The aim of this project is to give our farmers
02:28the knowledge and technology that they can use
02:31in a scientific way of agriculture.
02:35We will continue to support and expand the capacity
02:39of our current soil laboratories
02:41that have been in the hands of the government for a long time
02:44in the development of agriculture.
02:46The Mobile Laboratory in Nueva Ecija has been established.
02:50Tarlac, Zambales, Bulacan, Pampanga, Aurora, and Pataan.
02:55It will last in each province for almost two months
02:58and will provide services to ten farmers every day
03:01for free.
