00:29Mr. Mayor, what does the Light Festival represent, not only for the city of Lyon, but also for the international community?
00:36First of all, the Light Festival is an emblem of the city. It has become an emblem with this anniversary that we celebrate this year.
00:42The 25th anniversary takes on a particular dimension.
00:46It is an opportunity to offer a free event in the public space for everyone.
00:51What matters to us is that this Light Festival can be a great moment of sharing, a real moment of celebration.
00:58It is also a moment of artistic creation.
01:01We mobilize French artists, of course, from Lyon, but also from all over the world,
01:09who come to offer us their talent to produce works specifically for the Light Festival.

01:26Most of the works I do are created in and with nature.
01:30I try to reflect on our human connection to nature, as we are part of nature.
01:35So I try to open people's eyes in a subtle way, how we perceive and witness nature,
01:44and to take care of her, because we only have one planet.
01:50So in this project we try to work only with recycled materials.
01:55We have those recycled fishnets.
01:57We work with a company from Berlin that uses recycled video projectors.
02:02And we will recycle all of the materials after to recreate this installation in other cities.
