01:26Mary-Jane Veloso is expected to return to the country before Christmas as instructed
01:30by President Prabowo Subianto.
01:32Yusril says the Philippines agrees to Indonesia's terms, including respecting Veloso's sentencing
01:37and her status as a prisoner.
01:39Indonesia will also respect any decisions made by the Philippines after Veloso's return,
01:44including clemency.
01:48Even more Filipinos feel their jobs are insufficient, bringing the Philippines' underemployment
01:52rate to 12.6 percent in October 2024.
01:56Underemployment refers to employed individuals who want more work hours in their current
02:00job, a second job to augment their income, or a new job with longer work hours.
02:05The Philippine Statistics Authority reports Friday, December 6, the underemployment rate
02:09in October 2024 is equivalent to 6.08 million Filipinos.
02:14It is higher than the 12.1 percent or 5.78 million Filipinos in July 2024 and the 11.9
02:21percent or 5.94 million Filipinos in September 2024.
02:26The National Economic and Development Authority says the underemployed persons are primarily
02:30from the wholesale and retail trade, agriculture, and forestry sectors.
02:35Unemployment, meanwhile, is at 3.9 percent in October 2024, equivalent to 1.97 million
02:41Filipinos.
02:42Calabarzon has the highest unemployment rate, while the Cordillera Administrative Region
02:47posted the lowest rate.
02:51Timor-Leste grants again the Philippine government's request to extradite former congressman and
02:55fugitive Arnolfo Arni Tevez, the Philippine Justice Department said on Thursday, December 5.
03:01The DOJ says the decision was based on procedural objections made by Tevez's camp after their
03:06voluntary participation in a proceeding they refuted after receiving an unfavorable decision.
03:11DOJ Chief Boyeng Remulia praises the decision as a victory for the Filipino people.
03:16He also says that it was a testament to the government's commitment to real-time justice.
03:21Meanwhile, Tevez's counsel, Ferdinand Topacio, has yet to issue a statement.
03:26To this day, Tevez has yet to stand trial in the country as his extradition has not
03:30been finalized.
03:32U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is once again the star of clay figurines caught with
03:38their pants down.
03:39These are produced by Spanish craftsmen in keeping with the tradition of the country's
03:42northeastern Catalonia region.
03:45The Caganay, or pooper, figurines were originally designed as comical shepherds hidden among
03:49nativity scenes but has expanded to include world leaders and celebrities who dominated
03:54the headlines.

04:32The Philippine Skating Union will include Russian figure skater Alexander Korovin as
04:36a naturalized Filipino after his naturalization bill passed the Senate on December 3.
04:41With 21 affirmative votes, zero negative, and zero abstentions in the third reading,
04:46the upper chamber will send the bill to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for signature.
04:50If Marcos does not veto the bill, Korovin will legally become a Filipino 15 days after
04:54the law's publication.
04:56He will then be required to swear an oath of allegiance to the Republic of the Philippines.
