00:00You're fighting in Georgia, this is in the area that you live, you train, you have grown
00:08up in.
00:09How excited are you to get this fight here?
00:10It's always great, I'm sure, to get a fight when you're in this, when you're as locked
00:14in as you are.
00:15We'll talk about what you've been up to recently to get ready for that in a minute.
00:19But to have that home crowd behind you, to have all these people, do you love that?
00:23Or does that add extra pressure for you to have to make sure you put on an even better
00:26performance for them?
00:27And do the things like to sell the tickets and things like that, do you like the pressure
00:31of being at home?
00:32Or does it add a little more distraction for you?
00:34Man, I love the pressure.
00:36You know, more pressure, more diamonds.
00:38So I'm here, I'm on a high pedestal with all my friends and family gonna be watching me.
00:43And I think it's gonna make me perform at such a higher level.
00:45I love going to people's backyards and beating up the hometown boy, but fighting home is
00:50very special to me.
00:52And you'll get to do that.
00:53You know, I saw the article they wrote about you getting ready for this fight that, you
00:56know, of course, everyone around there is gonna be talking to you like they usually
00:58are.
00:59You know, whenever you got to fight, people are gonna say what they think, or, you know,
01:01how you should do this or do that, or, you know, when they're gonna be there, it's even
01:05more so.
01:06But I heard you wrote that you said that one of your co-workers was trying to change how
01:10you fight because, you know, you've had some quick knockouts here, so far in the BKFC.
01:14He's trying to get you to stretch out a little bit.
01:15This guy wants more bang for his buck.
01:16I mean, come on.
01:17You're going for your win.
01:18It doesn't matter how you do it, right?
01:20Right.
01:21I mean, look, man, I got one thing in mind, and that's just winning.
01:24That's winning the fight and going to perform.
01:27I'm so prepared to go for five rounds, and, you know, in my training, mentally, physically,
01:33spiritually, I'm ready to go five hard rounds.
01:36And, you know, this guy might be someone that could take me there.
01:39And if he can, then I look forward to it because I have so much to show.
01:42You know, I think together, my two fights have been maybe like two or three minutes.
01:46So the world hasn't even seen half of what I have to offer.
01:51Now they've been two, yeah, 243, one minute and 21 seconds, one minute and 22 seconds.
01:55So we haven't even gotten to the minute and a half mark here.
01:58I don't know if you've been really breaking a sweat so far in the BKFC.
02:01You know, how do you look at that?
02:02Obviously, you're going to look at it with success, that you're getting the win, you're
02:04doing what you need to do.
02:05But, you know, when you talk about what you can really show, what you haven't shown yet
02:10for the BKFC fans, you know, getting into a three, four, five round battle, having to,
02:15you know, fight back after some adversity, what do you, you know, think that people are
02:19going to get from you that they haven't seen yet?
02:20These first two fights.
02:22Man, I think I think it's going to be either way it goes, you know, I think it's going
02:27to be awesome.
02:28I mean, the adversity that I face in the gym every single day, it's like none other.
02:32You know, I mean, I'm I'm going through these grueling sparring sessions where I have to
02:36face this adversity.
02:37So I'm I'm friends with the with the adversity and the struggle.
02:40So hopefully, you know, the fans will be able to see a great, a great long fight where I
02:45overcome a lot of adversity and we can both get out of there with very, very, you know,
02:50giving the fans what they deserve.
02:51And that's a that's a banger fight.
02:54And you talked about, you know, one of your recent posts about your motivation, about
02:58what drives you, and you know, you said that originally, you know, before it was an unhealthy
03:03fear, you know, you didn't want to be the didn't want to be, I guess, disappointing
03:08to people, disappointing to what you thought you should be doing to what God thought you
03:11should be, that, you know, it was kind of more of a fear of being a failure than anything
03:15else.
03:16But now you've changed things, you know, you focus on different ways to look at it.
03:19How is that you think that's helped you grow as a fighter as a person?
03:23And you know, how do you think that helps you driver drive you in your career in a more
03:26healthy way?
03:27Yeah, I mean, you know, there's a there's two ways, I think, to to really, to get good
03:34success.
03:35And, you know, some things are going to help you out long term, and some things are going
03:39to, you know, they might they might help you short term.
03:43This is something that where I've changed my whole mindset around the sport itself.
03:47And I walk in a different light now.
03:50And I believe that, that people will see that come December 6, at the Gas South Arena.
03:56It's a, it's a weight lifted off my my shoulders.
03:59A lot of people say like, you need to have that on, you need to have that fear of this
04:02and that and that.
04:03And I just don't think that's the right way to operate.
04:05So, you know, going through going through my career this way, I think it's going to
04:09be a lot more beneficial to myself, to my team and everybody around me.
