00:00The National Economic and Development Authority assured that the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.

00:08is determined to acquire quality jobs for the Filipinos.

00:12According to NEDA, the Labor Force Survey shows a decrease in the unemployment rate.

00:17But the government's effort to acquire more jobs is needed to reach the target of the Philippine Development Plan by 2028.

00:28We will get back to the whole story later.

00:33Meanwhile, the University of the Philippines launched the U.P. Alumni Association and Department of Labor and Employment,

00:40the U.P. Job Placement Office, at the U.P. Bahay ng Alumnay in Diliman Campus in Quezon City.

00:46Its goal is to provide scholarships to U.P. alumni so that U.P. graduates can have a promising career opportunity.

00:55According to the university, the services that will be provided to graduates will be unique,

01:01such as career counseling, job fairs, workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities.

01:08The U.P. decided that this is the first placement office in the country to be run by an alumni association,

01:15and its goal is to address the problem of job mismatch in the country.

01:20It's not just a simple goal.

01:22It's really about the partnership and partnership of our goal to realize quality jobs,

01:31quality jobs and quality services for the Filipino workers.
