00:00Every February 11, Japan National Day is celebrated and even though it is far from their country,
00:07it is still celebrated by the Embassy of Japan here in the Philippines.

00:17Japan is a progressive country known for its colorful and vibrant culture and tradition.
00:24It includes wearing a kimono, colorful anime, ikebana, and many more.
00:31This February, Japan National Day and the 65th birthday of Japan's Emperor, Rohito, are celebrated.
00:39Here in the Philippines, the so-called Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, Endo Kazuya, also celebrated.
00:48In recent years, the Philippines' relations has entered what is known as the golden age
00:54sustained by friendship and shared values.
00:58Since my arrival in March last year, I have witnessed that we have further deepened our wide-ranging exchanges and cooperation.
01:08The celebration is colorful and vibrant because of the many Japanese brands that are united.
01:14Japanese foods such as sashimi and sushi, sake, healthy products, and many more.
01:21At the beginning of the celebration, the Nihon Buoyo, or Japanese traditional dance,
01:28by Gion Higashi Song and Dance Society Kyoto is performed.
01:33Japan is one of the active contributors to the country when it comes to infrastructure, security cooperation, economic cooperation, and other sectors.
01:51It has won the support of several ambassadors, diplomats, and government officials.
01:57And in 2026, the Philippines and Japan will celebrate the 78th anniversary of bilateral relations.
