00:00So I'm Josh Cousins from Cousins Merino Services, so we're a small family business based out of
00:05Burra in the mid-north of South Australia and we provide a range of sheep services across the state
00:11into western parts of Victoria and New South Wales, so including flossing, pregnancy scanning,
00:18genetic advisory, wool testing and a few other different elements. So a typical day in my life
00:23is generally going out to client's properties, so each component of our business is quite seasonal,
00:30so obviously pregnancy scanning is usually the first four to six months of the year,
00:34then we start to get into more classing and genetic advisory, so going through rams,
00:39getting ready for ram sales, so that comes into the middle part of the year, into September,
00:44then ram sales September all the way through, that kind of finishes off October-ish,
00:49and then from that then you get back into classing years up, ready to get into your mating programs
00:55and that sort of thing, so quite a slow process, so you have to have quite a bit of patience,
01:00but over year on year you can see that genetic improvement and yeah,
01:03seeing the productivity gains coming through, it's yeah, it's really interesting.
