Inside Xmas By The Sea's festive hot chocolate stall

Meet the Blackpool couple serving up festive hot chocolates at Christmas By The Sea.   Linda Roberts, who co-owns Froth Me Silly with her husband, say the 7-week event has been a lifeline for them during the chilly winter months.   Speaking to Shots! TV, Linda explains that the festive event on Blackpool promenade is a lovely atmosphere with all the lights and funfair rides, with something for all the family. 00:00When people come to Blackpool, they come to Blackpool for a good time, they often bring

00:03their families and young children and there's rides here for everybody. There's little

00:07teacups over there for the little ones, there's the big snow drop over there and the huge

00:12ride at the end for all the bigger kids and the adults, so there really is something for

00:18everybody here. Winter events are quite scarce and also you're battling against the weather

00:23which can be very difficult, so for us to have a continual seven week event is really

00:28important to us. Before we did Christmas by the Sea, it was in our first and second

00:34year of running, we found that we were doing lots of Christmas markets which were fantastic

00:38but whilst they are fantastic, they're only one day of trading, so this gives us really

00:44a leap forward in the winter and not only that, I mean I have to say what a fantastic

00:49event it is, it's so happy and cheery to be down here and we're thoroughly enjoying it.

00:56We have our full hot chocolate menu there, we also do the festive eggnog lattes with

01:01all, everything you'd expect on there, so Terry's chocolate orange, the after eight

01:05mint ones. We've been ice skating, we've had some German sausages. It's just a nice family

01:11thing here isn't it, because you've got the lights and the fun fair rides and yeah it's

01:16just a nice place to come and visit. It's really grown and caught people's imagination,

01:23there's still the free stuff, the ice skating rink and the snowfall and the projection on

01:28the tower and all of that and lots of different food and drink choices and rides and of course

01:35we've got the illuminations extended through to January, so it's become a bit of a real

01:42thing and popular with our residents and visitors.
