The person of interest detained in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has been revealed ... and his name is Luigi Mangione.

00:00A huge break in the case, the manhunt, for the shooter of Brian Thompson.
00:06Police say they now have in custody a person of interest, someone they're calling a person
00:10of interest, who was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
00:16So not all that far from New York City.
00:19But this all happened in a McDonald's.
00:23And it seems like all the work the police have done since Wednesday in putting out all
00:27the images of the shooter and the person that they believed actually killed Brian Thompson
00:33seems to have paid off because it was someone in this McDonald's, an employee, saw this
00:39person who was on a laptop in the McDonald's and thought that they matched those images.
00:46What an incredible job by that person.
00:48Called police.
00:49So the person has been named, the police have said his name is Luigi Mangione.
00:54And they, again, are calling him a person of interest at this point.
00:57He's been arrested and is facing gun charges in Pennsylvania.
01:02But police in New York and the mayor actually held a news conference with the NYPD commissioner
01:09where they said they're working now with the Manhattan DA to get this person extradited
01:15to New York where they would be, their hope, they said at this point, is that they think
01:20that they have the person that they will eventually charge with Brian Thompson's murder
01:24that has not happened yet.
01:26But there's a lot that lines up.
01:28And once you look into Luigi Mangione's background, a lot that lines up with what police have
01:34said about this shooting, that they believe this person had personal beef with the health
01:40care, if not UnitedHealthcare exactly, but with the health care insurance industry.
01:46And remember the bullets that had the words, deny, defend, and depose, deny, defend, and
01:54depose, which seemed like a big hint.
01:58That is all sort of shaping up now.
02:01It does seem like that because we have found some things in Luigi's background.
02:06Some of his, on his social media, books that he's read, he is trying, someone who is recovering
02:13from severe back pain, had a surgery apparently.
02:17We don't know the circumstances around that.
02:19But he also left a review on the Unabomber's Manifesto.
02:26There's a book that was written based on the Unabomber's Manifesto and left a review about
02:30that saying, basically applauding Ted Kaczynski.
02:35So this is someone who clearly had issues with corporate America and also with the health
02:41care industry.
02:42But the Manifesto he had on him, in addition to the gun, when he was arrested, if they
02:48have the right person, I think everyone now wants to find out what was his motivation.
02:55Like we said, we found out he had the surgery, but it feels like there's got to be something
02:58more that's happening.
