00:00Our fellow OFWs and their families will have additional support when it comes to their needs and their well-being.

00:09This is because the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will start the Cancer Care Center at OFW Hospital in Velcustodio, in the center of Balita.

00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. will start the Cancer Care Center at OFW Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga.

00:35Of the 200 OFWs, their family is one of the groundbreaking.

00:41One of them is Patricia.

00:43According to her, as a retired OFW, it's a big thing for her community to have an additional healthcare facility for her to stay in the country.

00:52Of course, it's a big help for us, especially for those who are already for good.

00:58Of course, we don't have a big income, so it's a big help for us.

01:04This program of the government is very important.

01:08It will build a site in Region 3 so that the OFWs can cater their needs more easily when it comes to medical needs,

01:25for their check-ups or for their doctors.

01:32Coming in, a lot of OFWs are thanking us.

01:37You shouldn't be thanking us.

01:40We are the ones thanking you.

01:43Now, this cancer care will be a symbol of our better future,

01:49where the sacrifices of our OFWs will be rewarded,

01:54their dreams will be fulfilled,

01:57and their health will be taken care of.

02:00The construction of the new Philippines Cancer Care Center

02:03is also a reminder to the former DMW Secretary Susan Putzople,

02:07who passed away last year.

02:10It will serve as an extension to accommodate more patients.

02:14Some of the services of the new Philippines Cancer Care Center

02:17are the outpatient department for patients with infectious diseases,

02:21and the Cancer Care Center.

02:23The laying down of time capsules and groundbreaking event was also held,

02:27led by President Marcos Junior,

02:29House Speaker Martin Rumualdez,

02:31DMW Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak,

02:33and former Vice Governor Lidia Garcia Pineda.

02:37This is where the placing of newspaper and blueprint

02:40and placing of coins in the time capsule took place.

02:42They will be happy even if they are already retired.

02:45As long as you are a former OFW,

02:47even your family will be free here in the hospital.

02:51Of course, they will be even happier

02:55because they know that until President Marcos becomes President,

02:59if he can still support the expenses of all OFWs who are hospitalized here,

03:10DPWH, DOH, DSWD, OAH, PCSO, PGH, PhilHealth,

03:17the local government unit of Pampanga,

03:19and former Secretary Susan Putzople's relatives

03:22supported the project.

03:25They raised Php 80 million for the facility of Bacong Pilipinas Cancer Care Center.

03:30The target is to finish the construction of Bacong Pilipinas Cancer Care Center

03:34in November 2025.

03:36Together, we will build a Bacong Pilipinas

03:40that is strong, that is prosperous, that is compassionate.
