00:00What type of team are Cardiff?
00:02Try and be expansive with the ball.
00:07Yeah, try and pose your problems with the ball and then set up in a 4-4-2 shape without it.
00:15So yeah, I think you can get drawn into the trap of really chasing it and getting worried if the game gets disjointed and hectic.
00:28But what they try and do with the ball promotes that and I quite like us when the game gets like that anyway.
00:35So yeah, it should be a good game.
00:38Was Freddie coming in quite a routine decision or did Dai give you a decision?
00:42No, I was really pleased with Dai but yeah, Freddie coming back in was...
00:49Listen, it's never easy, you're leaving people out and we're in a position now where everyone's fit and well.
00:55It should be hard, it should be uncomfortable.
00:59I should be having conversations with players where you've not really got those obvious reasons and it's just gut and as much as the player doesn't want to hear that,
01:09ultimately that's a better reflection on them than when you're telling them what they're doing wrong and why they're not in the team because of X, Y, Z.
01:15You want it to be difficult.
01:16I want every player to be making it not only hard to pick the XI but then also when you're looking behind as well.
01:24When you're making your subs, it doesn't half feel like you've got a lot more armoury.
01:28Did you like how the team looked in Wednesday's half?
01:30It looked like a lot of good quality players enjoyed it and Greenwood and Frocky are particularly playing together.
01:36Listen, you look back at the team, you watch the performance but yes, players have moments where it might be untidy but everyone played well.
01:45But there's more to being a successful team if you want to be right at the top than just playing well.
01:55So Sheffield Wednesday for example, I said it to them after the chat, they've been second best in the last two games and got four points.
02:04That's a skill in itself.
02:06We're talking about football skills and the mentality.
02:11It's all in one and making the right decision at a key moment is match winning.
02:20You have a lot of players who can do that who end up being in successful teams.
02:24If you're looking at instances within the game and just marking them as analysts and people do.
02:29One instance, just giving it a number, whatever that may be.
02:32That's alright but key moments, key decisions in games should be reflected by more than just the one.
02:37It should be a match winning moment, both with the ball and without it.
02:41Stuart gave us a flavour, if you heard him afterwards, was it just a spur of the moment thing, you needed to have a word there?
02:46Was it something on your mind?
02:48Yes, I just enjoyed the performance and I played and I didn't want any of my frustrations to be shared with the players.
02:57As you just didn't, I enjoyed the performance from start to finish.
03:03We always chase it but it was brave, it was positive.
03:06We made mistakes, which I know we're going to make mistakes.
03:10We're on the front foot, they equalised, we're still on the front foot, we're still forcing issues.
03:14We should have won the game but we didn't.
03:21In terms of performance and what I want to see from the team, it was really, really good.
