00:00I, of course, am not a tour pro.
00:04I am a tinkerer.
00:05Sometimes it's just looking at something different that gives you a little bit of confidence.
00:09So when he goes to that 35 and a half inch, that tailor made spider tour X with the L
00:14neck, all of a sudden it starts putting a little better as look something different.
00:18But now to, to find a grip to the, to your point, it makes him feel confident and rolling
00:23it online with good pace inside 10 feet.
00:26Stroke look good, man.
00:27It could be a blood bath this next year.
00:29If, if very well could, and that, uh, you know, I, you wanted to talk a little bit about
00:34tiger woods being the booth and my takeaways from what he said about Scotty, it's, it's
00:40not earth shattering.
00:41It's, it's nothing we haven't heard before, but I think one of the things that stuck with
00:45me was just how he describes Scottie's ball striking.
00:48He said, well, he, you know, he hits the center of the face.
00:51And when you do that, you're able to hit it high.
00:54You're able to hit it.
00:55Well, you can curve it both ways.
00:57And I just am just blown away when I'm looking at the monitor and I'm watching Scotty every
01:04time with a driver, whatever the shot is, it just comes out the exact same window every
01:08single time.
01:10And it's the same in person, say watching on a monitor, he hardly makes mistakes.
01:16And that's what kind of what tiger was saying.
01:18It was that, you know, when you have a player that, you know, doesn't have a weakness in
01:23his game and is not going to give it away, he's going to have a chance to win a lot of
01:27golf tournaments.
01:28And I thought one of the things this week that he was really good at that actually something
01:34that's interesting is in a putting set was his approach putt performance was first.
01:40So like basically lag putting how close you got it to the hole in your approach pot.
01:44He was first in that category and that was putting with his conventional grip.
01:49And I was watching him on the putting green before the round.
01:54And this is interesting for a lot of people that are trying to get better at lag putting.
01:59This is a great drill because I didn't know we did this, but he'll have a 40 footer and
02:06he looks at the hole like he always would looks down, strokes the pot.
02:11And instead of looking up at to see, you know, where the ball is, he waits until the ball
02:17finishes rolling.
02:18So he strokes the pot and he's just staring at the ground.
02:22And then maybe he's guessing in his mind, is it long?
02:26Is it short?
02:27Where, where is this ball going to end up?
02:29And then eventually when the ball stops rolling or close, you know, you can't be perfect when
02:33it stops or starts rolling, but somewhere around the end of the putty looks up, sees
02:37where it is.
02:38And then his mind, he's calibrating basically the speed of the greens that day.
