00:00Concerned agencies like the Department of Environment and Natural Resources,
00:04the Department of Agriculture, the Department of National Defense,
00:08and the Department of Tourism are all doing their part to address certain problems
00:13the eruption of Caniloan volcano has caused to many Filipinos.
00:17For the part of the DENR, it is already working with the National Aeronautic Services Administration
00:24or NASA of the U.S., the Korean Space Agency, Manila Observatory, and other agencies to determine
00:31the type of component the ashfall from Caniloan is made of and its possible effects to the affected
00:38communities. Meanwhile, the DA assured to provide various types of assistance to those in agriculture
00:46sector. That's why it is coordinating with the provincial and municipal governments of the
00:51affected areas for the delivery of aid. In fact, the Agriculture Department has already distributed
00:58the needed medicines for the livestock that have fallen ill due to Caniloan's activities.
01:04While the DND is functioning as the lead agency in government's disaster response related
01:09with Caniloan and has outlined critical directives to enhance government's effort.
01:16For its part, the DOT is addressing concerns by tourism stakeholders
01:21from the affected areas that have been experiencing heavy ashfall which has caused
01:26tourism activities to cease especially within the six kilometer permanent danger zone.
