00:00In Taytay, Rizal, two men were arrested for stealing a motorcycle.

00:11One of them said that he didn't steal it but he borrowed the motorcycle.

00:15And the other one said that they were just together.

00:18EJ Gomez has the first news.

00:22In a CCTV footage in a subdivision in Taytay, Rizal on Monday,

00:26he saw two men riding a motorcycle.

00:30Next to them was a man pushing another motorcycle.

00:34Later, he stopped it on the side of the road.

00:38And then, the motorcycle started moving.

00:41The three men were suspects in the theft of the two motorcycles they were carrying.

00:47One of the motorcycle owners, a resident of Bagong Nayon,

00:50reported to the police.

00:53The victim parked his motorcycle along Sumulong Avenue.

01:01Then, he discovered that his motorcycle was being stolen.

01:06Then, he posted it on social media.

01:10And with the assistance of personnel of Taytay Municipal Police Station,

01:16we were able to see the two suspects using Ortigas Extension.

01:22That's when our police arrested them.

01:26One of the motorcycle thieves was recovered.

01:29We can see in the CCTV that there are three alleged suspects.

01:34But during the arrest, conduct of arrest,

01:38only two of our personnel were timed.

01:44So it turns out that one of them is at large.

01:47The suspects, Alias J and Alias Mar, are now under the authority.

01:51According to Alias J, they returned the motorcycle that they borrowed.

02:21The two are facing charges of violation of anti-carnapping law.

02:26Under the visa of the arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 104, Calamba City, Laguna,

02:33Rizal Police arrested this 36-year-old man for carnapping.

02:39He was arrested by the authorities in Barangay San Roque in Rizal this morning.

02:44The suspect is included in the list of Most Wanted Carnappers in the Calamar Zone, according to the police.

02:51The suspect admitted that in the case that he committed, he was carnapping the motorcycle.

02:58Then our complainant filed the suspect of the carnapping case.

03:07The suspect was not arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of Laguna.
