00:00We only have a few days left for the complete cessation or cancellation of visas for Pogo or Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations in the country.

00:08That's why the government is tightening the possible cancellation of guerrilla operations of Pogo.

00:20Since December 15, all licenses of Pogo in the country have been cancelled.

00:25That's what the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, or PAGCOR, promised

00:29following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive in his 3rd State of the Nation Address.

00:35In his press briefing, PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco said that he will not wait until the end of the year

00:42for the cessation of Pogo operations in the Philippines.

00:45Instead, he will speed up the cancellation of these operations.

00:49In fact, since President R. Marcos announced the cessation of Pogo operations in the country,

00:54the number of Pogo operations in the Philippines has decreased from 300.

00:59Since July, as we speak, there are only 7 Pogo operations left.

01:10Since they are already prepared and ready, they are already writing and requesting for the cancellation of their respective licenses.

01:20But the government agencies are not ignoring the possibility that the guerrilla operations of Pogo

01:27or their Pagunilang Operasyon will cease.

01:29But there are still some that will persist.

01:31And we are looking at around 100 plus.

01:36So those are the rogue Pogos that we call.

01:39Those are the former Pogo workers who joined together and made a small Pogo hub or Pogo operation in a house.

01:48It can be in an apartment, it can be in a resort, in a hotel.

01:54This is something that the government and law enforcement agencies are trying to do.

02:01They are trying to do things.

02:03In our estimation, they are easy to find, easy to stop.

02:09As to the President's instructions, we will make it very difficult for them

02:14until they say that it is no longer worth operating in the Philippines.

02:18According to the DILG, since more than 350,000 visas were issued to Pogo workers,

02:2423,000 were already deported.

02:27More than 6,000 are still in the country,

02:29of which more than 5,000 have already downgraded their visas to tourists.

02:34Pogo hubs in Island Cove and Kawit Cavite have already been visited by the authorities to close them.

02:40Again, the government insisted that there will be no effect on the country's economy

02:44if the Pogo operations cease.
