00:11Details of this were reported by Gavel Yegas of PTV Manila.
00:17It's already been two weeks since Christmas.
00:19That's why the Department of Social Welfare and Development ensured that Christmas will be happy for those in evacuation centers affected by the eruption of Volcano Canlaon.
00:29We will continue to support our countrymen as part of the augmentation of support to our local government units.
00:38Of course, especially during Christmas, we don't want them to have a sad experience because of the eruption that they were displaced.
00:49So, this time of the year, let's give them happiness, no matter how much they have the spirit of Christmas.
00:56According to the DSWD, there are already 26 evacuation centers in Region 6 and Region 7,
01:02and more than 4,600 families remain here.
01:06Because of this, the agency continues to provide assistance to the victims of the eruption.
01:11As of this morning, there are 81,500 family food packs and more than 16,100 non-food items distributed in the province of Negros Occidental and Negros Oriental.
01:23In addition, the agency also provides clean drinking water while the face mask is provided by the Department of Health.
01:31We also have water filtration kits distributed to local government units that will be used in evacuation centers.

01:49to ensure that the needs of children in conflict with the law or CICL will not be neglected.
01:59We also provide technical assistance through our regional JJA committee to help them handle the duty-bearers there.
02:12For instance, if social workers are needed.
