00:00The Commission of Elections is studying to allow persons deprived of liberty to vote through the online voting and counting system.
00:09However, ComElect Chairperson George Irvin Garcia said that the possible implementation of local internet voting will be based on the results of overseas internet voting.
00:21There are a total of 76 foreign service posts, including the Manila Economic Cultural Office and Mission, that will conduct the internet voting for the 2025 polls.
00:31For the 2025 elections, PDLs will vote through a special polling place that will be placed in a facility of a prison or detention center.
00:42Or they will vote through a regular polling place with an authority.
00:47As of now, there are more than 68,000 registered PDL voters for the upcoming elections.
