00:00Comelec, there is a list of candidates for the Senate in the 2025 elections.

00:08Luisa Erispe is in the center of the news.

00:13Only a few weeks are left for 2024 to end.

00:17That's why the Commission on Elections is busy cleaning up the list of names of candidates for the 2025 national and local elections.

00:27It's proven that Comelec has a list of candidates for the senatorial aspirants.

00:33And this will only reach the 66th candidate.

00:36In the party list, the party work and wage hike has already decreased.

00:41That's why only 155 will be placed in the ballot.

00:45And for the local candidates, the aspirants are also removing the commission one by one.

00:50There is no Luisa's candidate that can be included in the ballot.

00:53It's not like what happened before when the election was over and the Luisa's candidate is still there.

00:58And this is also the first time in the history of the commission that there is no Luisa's candidate that can be included in the local positions.

01:06In the lists issued by Comelec, they only put forward the petitions that were submitted for the 2022 and 2023 elections.

01:14Where local candidates were removed or perpetually disqualified because they did not submit their Statement of Contributions and Expenditures or SOSE in the next two elections.

01:27There are also those who were disqualified due to vote buying.

01:31Even if these names were submitted by their COC for the 2025 elections, they may also be removed from the list.

01:38On January 6, Comelec is expected to print balota.

01:42And here, the commission assures that there is no Luisa's candidate that can be included in the ballot.

01:48Meanwhile, not even the old PCOS machines used by Comelec in the previous elections.

01:55But now, it is unserviceable.

01:57Comelec issued a memorandum that these will be sold for 12,264,000 pesos.

02:06One by one, it will be removed from warehouses in Santa Rosa, Laguna, and Las Piñas City.

02:12It should be noted that these PCOS machines were contracted by Comelec to Smartmatic in the previous elections.

02:19But it was declared unusable in 2023 after it was tried to be used for the barangay and SK elections.

02:27But the machines still had problems.
