00:00I feel like I've got a whole life to live at 28. With my partner, with my family. I've
00:12not had kids. And yeah, my nieces and nephews are all young. So yeah, I'm probably not going
00:22to see them grow up.
00:25The idea of us not getting the money, I actually don't want to think about it. Because I can't
00:34be without my son.
00:36Hi, I'm Mitch. I'm 28 years old from Tamworth.
00:41Hi, I'm Sam. I'm Mitchell's mum. I'm 52 from Tamworth.
00:48Hi, I'm Jessie. And I'm also from Tamworth. And I am Mitch's sister.
00:53December 2023, that was when the doctors found a lesion in the brain. So weeks before
01:01that, I had terrible headaches. Waking up in the night with a bad head and feeling sick,
01:10that was twice. So that wasn't a huge common one. But the main ones, I had two lesions
01:15in the brain. One this side and one this side. Both of which, it was a thing I got
01:22called primary central nervous system lymphoma. I've gone through matrix chemotherapy, a stem
01:30cell transplant, which I fairly breezed I'd say. But then unfortunately, a few months
01:37later, sorry, last Monday I got told it was back. And yeah, just prepared for the worst
01:51really. There is CAR T. We've been offered it at the London clinic, but it's £475,000.
02:01When I got told the news at first, obviously a year ago, it was as bad as this. They predicted
02:10glioblastoma, inoperable. We had what we thought was good news. When it wasn't a glioblastoma,
02:20it was primary central nervous system lymphoma, which is a B cell malignancy. Spirals from
02:30the nervous system. And that's what CAR T, the treatment I'm hoping to get treats, which
02:38is B cell malignancies. I suppose a lot of my thinking went into family, my partner.
02:52More not what I'm feeling, but what I'm leaving them and the trauma I'll be leaving behind
03:03from what I've caused. So yeah, with myself, it's tough. Because I feel like I've got a
03:19whole life to live at 28. With my partner, with my family. I've not had kids. And yeah,
03:33my nieces and nephews are all young. So yeah, I'm hoping not to see them grow up. I don't
03:42feel like it's my time to die. Yeah, I've got a lot more to give. I was with Mitch when
03:55we had the news. And I think it was more not real. Still doesn't feel real. I just can't.
04:08When I think I was at work, I received a message. And it was just I thought he was joking. He
04:17just texts saying, I've got to give me six to 12 months. And he sent all his sisters
04:22a text. And I thought he was winding me up because he's a jokey, you know, jokey lad.
04:26And when I knew he was being serious, it just shattered us didn't it. Yeah, I just text
04:34all family members. Just quick message. I just put it's back. Six to 12 months. Yeah.
04:46So sadly, dad passed away when I was younger. And I think since then, we're inseparable
04:56to be honest. And yeah, I think over the years that we had such a good bond and a relationship
05:05that it's just grew and you know, it's it was really, really nice to have that connection
05:12with a brother that you wouldn't normally have having that news. It was just
05:27especially having the boys and I had children and they got a good bond with me.
05:40The idea of us not getting the money. I actually don't want to think about it. Because I can't
05:49be without my son. I can't the thought of looking after him. It's just it's too much.
05:58I just I just don't actually feel anything. I'm just totally normal. Like you're not meant
06:07to be the way round. So if we don't raise that money, and we don't raise that money,
06:26we lose him. I don't even know what to say. It's something that is just heartbreaking.
06:40I don't want to think I don't want to think about it. I am fighting every day to get this
06:50money. And I won't give up. I don't believe this is the case because I believe he's going
06:57to be here. He has to. He's not going anywhere. He can't go anywhere. And we're desperate
07:07to raise his money for him to save his life.
07:11I don't think I've fully come to terms with death at the minute because I've still hope.
07:22So right now we're all just faced with the ultimatum really is you wake up every day.
07:30And to me now it's a case of waking up and not knowing how many more wake ups I've got.
07:37And that sounds a bit mad. And when I go to sleep, I think every night, I wonder how many
07:46I've got these. Sleeps, just cuddling my girlfriend in bed and not knowing.
07:58Help, support, donate, even a share goes a huge way. We need to keep the traction going.
08:05If you either go to any of my social medias, Mitchell Middleton, you'll see a link on there.
08:11But you can find it very easily. So if you just go to GoFundMe.com and then type in
08:17Help Mitch beat CNS lymphoma. It's trending at the minute. But if you just type that in,
08:22you should be able to find me very easily. We want to thank a lot of people for their
08:26support so far. Alison Hammond, Alex and Olivia Bowen.
08:33Yeah, and Michael Bibby, he donated.
08:36Michael Bibby massively to him.
08:38Yeah, we've had quite a high, you know, had quite a lot of big platforms share his story.
08:46Adam Frisby was one of them as well. You know, we've had quite a few and we just need to
08:53get this going. We need to keep going and keep reaching all different platforms to get
08:59his story out there.
09:00So although we've raised a staggering amount so far, I think we're at 170 at the time of
09:10recording this. We probably need to raise around 500 grand, but I know the power of
09:14social media. I know the people.
09:18TikTok's flying off as well. You're on TikTok as well.
09:21Yeah, a few things have blown up, but the love show and I'd love nothing more for obviously
09:28to carry on.
