00:00I'm gonna take you through the ultimate list
00:01of the five best PlayStation 5 Pro games.
00:04You should try first if you just picked up the PS5 Pro
00:06and looking for some awesome titles to start with
00:08to take advantage of all the performance upgrades.
00:11But before I show you some gameplay,
00:12let me show you how to set it up
00:14and give you a breakdown of all the graphics modes.
00:16If you wanna see more of our PlayStation 5 Pro thoughts
00:18or you're undecided about whether you should buy one,
00:21click the link in the description below
00:22to check out our full review.
00:24We've got an unboxing of the PS5 Pro
00:26on YouTube Shorts and TikTok,
00:28but it's pretty straightforward.
00:30In the box, you get the console, power cable,
00:32HDMI cable, and a dual sets controller.
00:34You can hook it up to a TV for a big screen experience.
00:37Most modern day TVs have a game mode
00:39that'll automatically kick in
00:40when the console is powered up.
00:42A 4K gaming monitor would also work great.
00:44There's not much you need to mess around with
00:46setup and settings wise,
00:47but the big thing is that there are two graphic modes
00:49for most games, fidelity and performance.
00:52I've played around with both
00:53and I tend to prefer Fidelity Pro for most games
00:56since it gets the highest possible resolution
00:58and graphical effects,
00:59even if the games run under 60 FPS,
01:01but otherwise between fidelity and performance,
01:04I try both out.
01:05You can switch them in visual settings in game easily.
01:08So now you're ready to get gaming on the PlayStation 5 Pro.
01:10Here are the best games I think you should play first.
01:12And let me know in the comments as I'm going through
01:14if there's any titles you think I'm forgetting.
01:16I've always considered Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
01:18as one of the best PS5 launch games,
01:20but I'm surprised to hear
01:22how many people haven't tried it yet.
01:23Consider this your sign.
01:25It has fun gameplay and a clear storyline
01:27while the high production values and features
01:29really shine in the PlayStation 5 Pro.
01:32And as you might expect from Insomniac games,
01:34you get a choice of fidelity and performance modes,
01:37both of which look fantastic and run great.
01:40To keep things short, in this exploration-based platformer,
01:42you'll complete quests on new planets,
01:44gather collectibles and face combat
01:46along the way to repair dimensional rifts.
01:48It's totally welcoming to series newcomers
01:51and with a 15 to 20 hour play time,
01:53the game hits a sweet spot between too short
01:55and the only game you'll play for months.
01:58A while back, I wrote an op-ed about how
01:59Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is the only reason
02:01someone needs to buy a PS5,
02:02and the same goes for the PS5 Pro.
02:04Ray tracing looks incredible
02:06on glass-covered buildings in Times Square,
02:08bringing even more visible details to life across the city.
02:11It honestly just blows my mind.
02:13In Insomniac's best title to date,
02:15Spider-Man 2 is authentic, unexpected,
02:17and packs enough missions to keep you engaged for hours.
02:20Combat is especially awesome
02:21with noticeably smoother performance on the PS5 Pro
02:24compared to the PS5.
02:25Put this game at the top of your to-play list
02:28if you haven't checked it out already.
02:30I know that Demon's Souls has a lot of fans
02:31and also a lot of haters,
02:33but it's a remake that feels tailor-made
02:34for the PlayStation 5 Pro.
02:36For one, I found it's easier to see incredible details
02:39in the atmospheric environments,
02:41and it also has the proper PS5 Pro enhanced mode,
02:44which gives you 4K outright at high frame rates.
02:46With this game, you're getting robust and complex gameplay
02:49that can be kind of ridiculously challenging at times,
02:52but it's one of those instances where the payoff
02:54is definitely rewarding.
02:56But again, if you wanna get the best experience all around,
02:58the PS5 Pro is the console to do it on.
03:00Before the PlayStation 5 Pro,
03:02the last console I played The Last of Us Part II on
03:04was the PS4.
03:06Needless to say, The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PS5 Pro
03:08is a huge upgrade,
03:10with the game looking and running phenomenally.
03:12Thanks to the sharper graphics,
03:13the fungus-riddled world you survive
03:15in this 30-hour or so campaign
03:16somehow feels even grimier and more lived in.
03:19Fans of the series know that it's really the characters
03:21that hook you in,
03:22so the fact that it's easier to see subtle facial animations
03:26leaves a strong impression.
03:27This is one of the games that runs especially smooth,
03:29and I cannot recommend it enough.
03:31For a game that really shows off
03:32the PlayStation 5 Pro's graphical abilities,
03:35check out Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.
03:37This game has a nice mix of natural environments
03:39and synthetic enemies,
03:41which is the kind of contrast
03:42that some other consoles might struggle with.
03:44But the added graphical detail
03:45paired with more realistic-looking lighting
03:47makes for a stunning 40 hours of gameplay,
03:49plus the characters are really memorable.
03:52From a visual standpoint, what makes this game stand out
03:54is the fact that you have all this nice foliage,
03:57there's robots everywhere,
03:59which creates this really awesome contrast.
04:01It looked great on the regular PS4,
04:03and even on the PS4 Pro,
04:04but on PS5 Pro, it looks absolutely incredible.
04:08Of all the best PS5 Pro games on my list,
04:10this one is arguably a true showcase
04:12for what the PS5 Pro can do
04:13with a title that's equally reliant
04:15on immersive environments and engaging characters.
04:18And if there's a game I missed
04:19or you think I should try out,
04:20let me hear them in the comments.
