00:00If you look at the Super Bowl odds, these are two of the top four choices on the board.
00:04Though, just a week ago, these were two of the top two choices on the board.
00:11The Bills lost it, banging them up in the futures market, down to plus 650 to win the
00:15Super Bowl, and no longer the AFC outright favorites.
00:19And that, to me, was, look, I've been as harsh as I think anybody on what Kansas City's been
00:25this year, but the Chiefs' pathway to the one seed was still much clearer than that
00:30of Buffalo's, while I felt holding a little bit of an easier schedule, and yet they were
00:36still showing Buffalo, at least he has the favorite in the AFC.
00:39What are you making of the Super Bowl market and the way those odds are continuing to move?
00:42Well, I still would put the Chiefs ahead of Buffalo right now, and it had nothing to do
00:46in terms of, you know, Buffalo's loss on the road.
00:49But again, you're talking about a team that has been there, done that, and the Kansas
00:53City Chiefs, until they get knocked off in a playoff type of situation, I know the 15
00:58games of one score, they've won all 15 of them over the past couple of seasons, they're
01:02just a battle-tested group, and they step up when the game's on the line, and they have
01:06the best quarterback in all the NFL, no matter what.
01:09When the game and the chips are in the middle of the table, whether it be the regular season
01:13or the playoffs, Donny, you want Pat Mahomes on the center, so until that changes, can't
01:19put Buffalo right now ahead of Kansas City, but again, we'll see how these games play out.
01:24There's a lot of sharp people today that have picked the Cleveland Browns to upset, you
01:28know, Kansas City.
01:29They haven't looked good, it's a four and a half point number, Jameis, you know, can
01:33put up some points, you never know, it's bad weather, we'll see how this game plays out.
01:38Sharps are back there again on Cleveland, should be fun, but in the AFC, you take a
01:42look at the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills, the Baltimore Ravens, any one of those
01:45teams, for me, can beat the Kansas City Chiefs, but you know what the issue's going to be?
01:49They're not going to be favored to beat the Kansas City Chiefs when the Kansas City Chiefs
01:51have home field advantage throughout the playoffs and a first week bye.
01:55That's why we still look at the Chiefs and say a five to one price to win the Super Bowl
01:58does still make sense, and again, I'm not saying they're the most talented team, but
02:02also, Joe, you point out, they have Patrick Mahomes, they have Andy Reid, they will be
02:06home.
02:07They probably now will be in the Super Bowl, even though, if you put teams on neutral sites
02:10here, I still would say, yeah, Ravens, you know, Steelers, and again, the Bills, have
02:14an equal chance to beat them, but they won't be favored to do so.
02:17Yeah, I actually think, again, so kind of, if you will, Buffalo was ladder one of, not
02:25disrespect, but I think maybe too much movement from the books last week, and that's now been
02:31corrected due to a Buffalo loss.
02:32It is not that Buffalo cannot beat Kansas City.
02:36It's, I guess, more so like if I were in charge of a book, I am not going to give you a better
02:41price on KC than I need to.
02:44I now think the second would be the gap between Detroit and Kansas City, and look, the Chiefs
02:50are putting out one of the most fraudulent resumes we have ever seen.
02:56Every single game is a one-score victory.
02:59They cannot extend on anyone.
03:01The offense, here's something no one talks about.
03:05The offense has been garbage since Eric Biennium left.
03:08Figure that out.
03:09Nobody wants to talk about, I promise, you don't want to have that conversation.
03:15Washington, UCLA, garbage, garbage, garbage.
03:18But Mahomes has been his absolute worst without Biennium.
03:21I mean, if you would like to have the conversation, we can.
03:24Well, why not?
03:25Yeah, what are we talking about?
03:27Biennium is nowhere near the issue nor the reason for this.
03:32So they were the best offense in football, but he left, and now they have the best tight
03:37end of all time.
03:38But wait a second, they also had Tyreek Hill.
03:39They have wide receivers.
03:40They have no wide receivers now.
03:42They have revolving door.
03:43But I'm saying the transition you had, I mean, we talked, yes, and like garbage wide receivers
03:51that just, you know.
03:52Everything is worse.
03:53Journeyman wide receivers.
03:54Every year it gets worse for Kansas City's skill position, and they still win.
03:57Again, I think that that's just an interesting way to position Pat Mahomes, though, right?
04:01I'm just saying, because their offense has been middling for two consecutive seasons
04:05in the regular season now.
04:07But it's been.
04:08Again, like when we talk about greatness and you talk about elite quarterbacks, Pat Mahomes
04:14has separated himself from everybody else.
04:17Statistically, in the regular season is one thing.
04:20The playoffs are completely a different animal, and he has done that.
04:24And again, you know, Brady had up and down years.
04:27Granted, it's not as bad as what we're seeing from an interception to touchdown ratio in
04:31that perspective.
04:32But again, even Peyton Manning, they get judged at the, you know, by winning games, especially
04:37in the postseason.
04:38I mean, I'm not saying that it's the enemy.
04:41I would not say it's the enemy in terms of initially that first year, yes, but now after
04:47watching it play out, it's not.
04:49It's not all.
04:50I'm sure.
