Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced on Sunday she is resigning as president of the centre-right European Conservatives and Reformists Group.

00:18The week-long event has evolved into a way to celebrate Giorgio Meloni's government,

00:29Meloni said that political stability, quote, is what makes Italy more credible, both nationally
00:36and internationally.
00:37And she also said she's confident the government will serve its full term.
00:41And she announced that she's about to step down as the president of the ECR, supporting
00:47Poland's Morawiecki as the next head of the group.
00:51On Saturday, key speakers at the cross-party summit included Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati
00:58and Argentina's President Javier Mele.
01:01We understand that the free trade deal between the EU and the Mercosur states, which include
01:06Argentina, has been reported as a central topic in Malay's discussions with Meloni.
01:14In fact, like other EU countries, Italy remains hesitant to support the deal unless it includes
01:22provisions to protect Italian farmers.
